Dear SisterFriends, Thank You!
Dearest SisterFriends,
Some of you have been in my life almost every single day, and some, we catch-up in person now and then, just so we can keep referring to one another as “my friend”. I remember when I needed a hug and you called or sent a note saying “You don’t have to change; you are wonderful just the way you are!” When I was totally exhausted you, as an answer to my prayer, showed up to help me pack down my apartment in record time, and even offered me your own home as an interim place to live. |

You sometimes appeared in my life for a fleeting moment. Like the time I came into the store where you worked, and you looked pass all of the things you did not like, or understand about my appearance (I was not of your race or culture; or I was not dressed in designer clothes, shoes and carrying an expensive purse.) and you graciously, with a patient and courteous sister-smile, helped me find what I was looking for. Or when we met, sitting close to one another on a bus or train, and felt comfortable sharing our lives; providing one another with unforgettable joy-laughter and affirmation. Yes, I remember!
Maybe you have never met me physically; nor are you even consciously aware of my existence, but, we still know one another. It was “your book” that mysteriously fell off a library bookshelf onto the floor near my feet. It was also your love for us that made me pick up this intriguing book from the floor and read. Gleaming enlightenment from your wise words; I was greatly awakened and healed!
It is you who keeps the channels for our global feminine voice open and alive, by giving us a platform to sing our story song as important contributors to your conferences, literary magazines, movies, and television and radio programs. I would see you on TV or in a magazine and I am inspired by your story: You successfully overcoming the crushing sadness birthed by dogmatic societal and religious beliefs. I marvel at the how you put your body, energy and your reputation courageously on the line, as cannon fatter, so that I could read, hear and see the truth through your very public presentation of a story, wise-knowing or art form that I truly needed to experience.
Thank you for being, three billion plus SisterFriends, daughters of Earth, co-existing; beside me! I know that you are there and I love you! I can feel your Divine Mother’s essence gentle in the kiss of the sunrise, and your emotions in the temperament of the wind.
